A Better World

Naivete may be my affliction,

but I prefer to call it hope.

For changing the world,

vast as that calling may be, 

is done deliberately,

incrementally,

spreading outward from one soul to another,

making the world better

in by inch,

action by action.

And when each of us carries our portion of light,

those lights gather,

until together

they illuminate the world.
